Grievance Form

This form is made available to parents/guardians who feel their child or another child has been subject to unfair treatment or conditions without corrective measures taken to resolve the issue. When a grievance is received by the Board it will be reviewed immediately. Follow up correspondence will be conducted with you immediately following Board review.

Please understand, we want you and your child to have a positive experience with the Cubs. There may however be times when conflicts arise among coaches, players, parents/guardians and umpires. For example, you might not approve of the behavior or instructional methods of a coach. This can be distressing and take the fun out of the game. We are committed to making sure conflicts like these are resolved quickly and objectively, without fear of retaliation or ongoing tension.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

STEP 1) We ask that you first speak with your child's coach to resolve conflicts. More often than not, making others aware of the affect their actions have on another is enough to encourage them to change their methods.

STEP 2) If speaking with your child's coach does not resolve the conflict, please complete the grievance form. Completing this form generates an immediate email to the Cubs President and Issue Resolution Officer, and provides a documented account of the action or behavior for Board review.

IF YOU HAVE WITNESSED ANY ACTION OR BEHAVIOR THAT IS UNDENIABLY EGREGIOUS IN NATURE (E.G., THE VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ABUSE OF A CHILD OR PARENT/GUARDIAN, OR A COACH DRINKING ALCOHOL AT A FIELD), COMPLETE THIS FORM IMMEDIATLEY.
